We have been with Peoplecare Health for over 12 months now and I must say, it’s an absolute pleasure to deal with the caring people there. Today, my wife and I had 3 ladies looking after us and they were well informed and polite. A lovely experience. Thank you Kelly and the other 2 ladies.

Will be changing providers. When changed to them I was told no waiting period on almost everything. Hospital no wait period unless it’s an existing condition. So been with them a while now and have to have cortisone injections into my jaw. They have refused to pay the admit as it comes under reconstructive surgery😳😳 I said are you kidding me, it’s cortisone under sedation. They also won’t cover my prescribed cbd oil. They said oh we will cover this one but not that one. What’s the difference. Absolute joke, I pay over 200 bucks a fortnight and these mugs do nothing for me.

The best private health insurance provider as per my opinion - reasonably priced

I have been with People Care since Feb 2025. I needed to call today to check my cover. I spoke with Karolina. She couldn’t have been more helpful. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. The only complaint I would have is I was promised a $50 gift card after 3 months of joining which still hasn’t arrived.

I previously felt very positive about people care. But after multiple refusals to cover what is covered in my insurance I am pretty gutted. Paying $500 towards surgery and I have a $500 excess. I’ve paid over 2.5k in premiums and they won’t cover anything for me. Won’t cover admissions surgery etc. even for things you are covered for. I’d avoid. Their “no gap” specialists. ALL charge a gap of at least 7-10k out of pocket. I’m on a pension I can’t afford that. I would avoid. Update in response to below comment: I have already spoken to a team leader who is trying to claim I knew from sign up that complex care was not covered under People care even if the “category” is covered. No one at people care will help with anything financial despite being an on time paying member for over two years. Even if I get extras they won’t help with any of my medical fees. I would absolutely avoid Peoplecare insurance unless you have 10k to pay upfront on fees before they will cover you.

Peoplecare have provided us with an excellent service since we changed our cover over to them in 2009. Their communication has been quick and any claims I have put through their app or via telephone have been dealt with within 48 hours.
