We had a disappointing experience with our event insurance policy. Communication from Kris was often slow, and it frequently took a long time to receive responses (for reference, I messaged on 21 April and didn’t hear from her until we reached out again on the 4th May). On multiple occasions we were unable to reach either our broker or the broader team by phone. We received one follow up call from a team member who was reasonably friendly. However, we also raised concerns about certain policy terms and hoped our broker would discuss these with the insurer on our behalf. While we understand that some policy conditions are standard, we felt there was little effort made to explore alternatives or negotiate where possible. In addition, the policy contained an incorrect address which was never corrected for our event despite being brought to attention. We would expect at least a follow up text or call to confirm awareness of this issue, but received no such communication from Kris, nor correction to the documentation. Other clients may have a different experience, but based on ours, the service fell well below expectations and we would not recommend this brokerage.
This company took days to respond to my enquiry which I found to be totally unprofessional. We renewed with another company who responded to us within minutes and were totally professional whilst keeping the process simple. If Lockmor take days to respond to an enquiry regarding new business, what will they be like when it comes time to make a claim?
