GIO Insurance

So good to be able to speak to someone in person. I swapped to G.I.O as my last insurer only offered online services. I much prefer being able to pay in person and the Albury staff are friendly and helpful. They have always helped me choose the best policy for me , find the best deal they could and their Local knowledge also helps a lot. I only deducted 1 star as I haven't had to make a claim yet so don't know what that process would be like.

Closed office in Albury 19 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 without ammending hours on Google but has a two bob sign on the door.

Well, this year, I shopped around and found GIO $30 cheaper. The staff were really great. $30 is a huge saving 👏.

Wonderful staff who have been of great assistance with our vehicle needs since we moved to NSW.

I had held full comprehensive insurance with GIO for 15 years, on several vehicles until I hit a Kangaroo recently and they wrote my car off without their accessor even citing the vehicle, there was no help from the staff in the Albury office, they told me they don't deal with any claims and to get online or call the number, mind you I was on hold for almost 2 hours and on hold as I entered the office. This is proof that they are only there to take your money. Look elsewhere.
